Hellas Bio Net is the union of agricultural cooperatives of organic products of Greece.
Τhe Union was founded in 2009, is based in Messolonghi and consists of 6 Organic Products Cooperatives from all over Greece.
The purpose of Hellas Bio Net is the clustering of all the agricultural associations of Greece that produce organic products
The main axes of interventions to achieve its purpose are:
* The joint promotion and marketing of organic products produced by itself and products produced by its shareholders cooperatives and organic farmers. Its main export direction is the countries of Northern & Central Europe.
The main organic products it exports are Fruits, Olives, Olive Oil & Wine.
In recent years, about 70% of its annual turnover is related to exports of organic products.
* Improving the production conditions of organic products through research and education.
* Works closely with several Universities, Higher Education Institutions & Research Centers with the aim of improving farming practices in organic crops, the production of new innovative organic foods of high nutritional value and training producers in the application of modern practices in all stages of production.

A University institution that deals with the widest range of subjects of Nutrition, Metabolism, Pathophysiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Food Science, combines theoretical teaching with laboratory and practical training and monitors current scientific developments in nutrition and health.
In particular, research has focused on the relationship of diet with growth, aging and metabolism, the role of diet and exercise in the physiology and pathophysiology of metabolism, the influence of dietary habits, the type & frequency of food consumption on inflammatory processes and oxidative stress, the effect of diet on body composition and physical performance on health and disease.
The role of lifestyle patterns, body composition and metabolism in obesity and related diseases in designing and implementing nutrition interventions for the prevention and treatment of obesity and chronic non-communicable diseases. Design innovative and functional foods and conduct quality assessment studies.

The Department of Agriculture of the University of Patras is one of the most complete Agricultural Departments, adequately covering the needs of the primary sector in the Region of Western Greece. The various projects are managed through the Special Account for Funds and Research in accordance with Greek legislation which operates within the framework of the University of Patras and has already implemented numerous projects funded by the EU and at national level. The laboratory areas of the Department, They have adequate facilities and excellent infrastructure and equipment, adequately covering the needs of the primary sector, especially for research activity. The AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE OF ORGANIC OLIVE FARMERS was recently created by organic olive farmers in the wider area of Messolonghi. The total cultivated acres of its members, with organic Kalamata olives, exceeds 300 acres, the average annual production is more than 500,000 kg and the average value of annual sales exceeds 700,000 euros.
It is active in the production, processing, standardization, promotion and marketing of organic table olives of its members. Among its immediate priorities is its recognition as an Organic Olive Producers Organization.

AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE BIOAGROS field was created in 2004. It is active in the production, processing, standardization, promotion and marketing of organic products of its members. Its members are organic farmers with agricultural holdings in central Macedonia & Thrace. Members of the cooperative cultivate organic table olives of Chalkidiki. It has the necessary production, standardization and marketing infrastructure, in order to achieve vertical integration of the members' production & the adaptation of the products produced to market demand and their joint distribution in the International and Greek market. It was recognized in August 2009 as a PRODUCER ORGANIZATION, according to Reg(EC) 1234/07 & 361/08 and today it is proceeding with the procedures for its recognition as a Producer Organization according to MD 397/18235/16-2-17. It has participated as a member-partner in interprofessional associations for the implementation of two 3-year European information and promotion programs of European organic products, in the Internal Market (Germany, Netherlands, Sweden) and in the markets of Russia & Ukraine, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. Council Regulation (EC) No 3/2018 501/2008

The agricultural enterprise deals with the cultivation, production, processing, standardization & marketing of Organic Table Olives. It has privately owned farms with Kalamata olive plantations, which it cultivates organically, as well as a recently constructed, modern olive storage, processing and standardization unit, where it processes its organic table olives and which after their processing & standardization, available in the Greek and International market. He is a founding member of the Agricultural Cooperative of Organic Olive Farmers.
